Installation
Using the device (B.Vi.1059) and a press, install the bearing separators until they rest against the crankcase flanges.

Insert the differential housing into the crankcase, lightly oiling the bearings.
Install the planetary side bearing, preload adjustment ring and nut.
As with removal, secure the differential housing-driven gear assembly using the tool (B.Vi.1057).

Pre-tighten to 10-20 Nm.
Remove the tool (B.Vi.1057) and rotate the differential housing until the bearings are in place.
Install the fixture (B.Vi.1057) and tighten the solder to a torque of 130 Nm.
Remove the tool (B.Vi.1057) and turn the differential housing.

Check the pre-tension.
The differential must rotate under the following loads:
- 5-20 Nm for reusable bearings:
- 16-32 Nm for new bearings.
If the adjustment does not correspond to these values, determine the thickness of the adjusting ring. In this case, taking into account that the pre-tension increases by approximately 7-8 N·m when the thickness of the adjusting ring decreases by 0.05 mm, and vice versa.
