Idling check
After shutting off the pipeline from the fuel tank on the absorber, connect the pressure gauge (±3 bar) (Mot. 1311-01) to the opening of communication with the atmosphere of the absorber (M).
In the absence of vacuum (under the same conditions, the value read from the diagnostic tool by parameter: «Degree of cyclic opening of the absorber purge solenoid valve» remains minimal.
If there is vacuum, when placing the card in the reader in the 1st fixed position, use a vacuum pump to create a vacuum of 500 mbar at the output of the solenoid valve. The vacuum must not change by more than 10 mbar in 30 s.
If the pressure changes, the solenoid valve is defective and must be replaced.
If the pressure does not change, there is an electrical problem, check the circuit.
If there is no vacuum, subject to the purge conditions (see «purge conditions») there is an increase in vacuum (this increases the value of the parameter on the screen of the diagnostic tool).
Checking the connection of the fuel tank with the absorber
The connection can be checked by connecting a vacuum pump to the tube leading to the absorber.
