Attention! It is prohibited to carry out any work with pyrotechnic systems (seat belt pretensioners or air bags) near a heat source or open flame, as there is a risk of them being triggered.
Caution! Before removing the pretensioner, be sure to lock the ECU using a diagnostic tool. This will lock all ignition circuits and illuminate the airbag warning light on the instrument panel.
Removal
Release the seat belt by pressing the lock 1.

Caution: When removing the seat, do not disconnect the connector to avoid electrostatic discharge, which may cause the airbag to deploy.
Adjust the seat to the lower (height) and middle positions (8 longitudinal direction) position, then remove it using the Ele. 1584 tool (depending on the configuration).

With the seat removed, remove:
- pretensioner connector located under the front seat;
- connection wire with "mass";
- pretensioner unit, having first removed the protective cover.
Note: When the seat belt pretensioners or airbags are triggered, the ECU is completely blocked and the airbag warning light on the instrument panel lights up. In this case, the ECU must be replaced (under the influence of ignition energy, some components lose their nominal characteristics).
Peculiarities

The driver's seat belt buckle has a seat belt warning light switch on the instrument panel.
To release the connector from the lock, unscrew the screws securing both lock covers.

Installation
Pay attention to the routing and attachment points of the wires under the seat.

Before installing the seat, check the external condition of the connectors located in the base and frame of the seat.

After replacing faulty parts and connecting connectors, perform a check using a diagnostic tool.
If all characteristics are within normal limits, unlock the ECU.
