Control lamp on the instrument panel
This lamp controls the operation of:
- front and rear seat belt pretensioners;
- front airbags;
- front side airbags;
- inflatable safety curtains;
- rear side airbags (depending on configuration);
- battery (voltage control).
When the ignition is switched on, the control lamp should light up for a few seconds and then go out (and don't light up again). If the lamp does not light up when the ignition is turned on or lights up while the car is moving, then this indicates a malfunction in the system.
Note. In some cases, when starting the engine, the control lamp may light up for a while and then go out.
