Control lamp on the instrument panel
This lamp controls the operation of:
- front and rear seat belt pretensioners;
- front airbags;
- front side airbags;
- inflatable curtain airbags;
- rear side airbags (depending on the configuration);
- battery (voltage control).
When the ignition is turned on, the indicator lamp should light for a few seconds and then go out (and not light up again). If the lamp does not light when the ignition is turned on or lights up while the vehicle is moving, this indicates a malfunction in the system.
Note: In some cases, when starting the engine, the indicator light may come on for a while and then go out.
