Removal
- Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the bolt securing the sensor traction arm to the rear axle.
- Remove the 2 bolts securing the sensor to the body.
- Release the wire retainer and disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
- Remove the sensor.
- Remove the sensor rod.
Installation
- Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
- Use a 4mm diameter rod to position the sensor correctly.
- Compress the rear suspension with straps or load the vehicle until the dimension measured between the rear floor cross member and the floor is 408 mm (H5, Fig. 11.3).
- Install the sensor and secure it with two bolts, without tightening them completely.
- Install the lever on the sensor axis.
- Apply the product to the sensor lever mounting bolt "Loctite 242", screw in the bolt and tighten to a torque of 5 Nm.
- Finally tighten the level sensor mounting bolts.
- Remove the 4mm diameter rod.
- Check the operation of the rear suspension.
