Removal
Cars of the 1st and 2nd stages of production
1. Remove the door trim (see Chapter 9).
2. Lift the glass, then remove the screw under the door latch and the glass clip mounting bolt. Pull out the door guide channel.
3. Lower the window completely.
4. For vehicles with manual windows: remove the window regulator gearbox (see Chapter 14).
5. For vehicles with worm-gear window lifters: unscrew the two bolts securing the glass frame to the guide channel.
6. Remove the glass guide from the holder.
7. Loosen the rear bolt of the cage and lift the cage, grasping its corner, inward and upward.
8. Remove the glass by pulling it out of the frame and door frame.
9. If a new window is being installed, check that the mounting clip is present. If it is not there, replace the clip from the old window. In this case, the clip is installed at a distance of 200 mm from the rear edge of the window in cars with worm-type window lifters or at a distance of 180 mm in cars with frame-type window lifters.
Cars of the 3rd stage of production
10. Remove the door trim (see Chapter 8).
11. Remove the sealing brushes from the top of the door frame.
12. Position the glass so that the two mounting bolts are opposite the two mounting holes, and remove these bolts.
13. Unscrew the two bolts securing the guide post on the door to the rear glass frame.
14. Remove the glass by pulling it out of the frame.
15. If a new glass is being installed, check that it has a frame. If it does not, move the frame from the old glass and install it at a distance of 195 mm from the edge of the glass.
Installation
16. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
