Attention! To prevent permanent damage to the front wheel bearing:
- Do not loosen or tighten the driveshaft nut with the wheels on the floor.
- Do not lower the vehicle onto the wheels with the wheel drive shafts removed or with their fastening nuts loose.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- right front wheel
- protective screen.
Drain the oil from the manual transmission.
Disconnect:
- wiring of the right front wheel speed sensor at the point (2),
- brake hose of the front right wheel at the point (3).
Remove:
- hub nut (4) using the device,
- nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of the right steering draft (5).
Remove the tie rod end ball joint on the right side using the tool (6).
Remove the bolts from the right shock absorber strut (7).
Slide the front right wheel drive shaft away from the hub axle using the assembled tools.
Reject the steering knuckle and remove the wheel drive shaft from it.
Remove the bolt (10) fixing the flange of the intermediate support of the drive shaft.
turn flange (11) intermediate support of the drive shaft of the wheel.
Remove:
- drive shaft of the right front wheel from the gearbox,
- right side differential seal.
Installation
Check up a condition of a seat of an epiploon on a shaft of a drive of a wheel.
Attention! Do not install the wheel drive shaft if the oil seal seat is damaged.
Parts that must be replaced: front wheel hub nut, parts that must be replaced: intermediate support flange bolt.
Install a new right differential seal.
Clean and lubricate the wheel bearing intermediate bearing bore with BR2+ grease.
Insert the spline of the wheel drive shaft into the splines of the differential side gear as axially as possible so as not to damage the oil seal.
Insert the splined shank of the wheel drive shaft into the splines of the wheel hub.
Note: The wheel drive shaft must be free to enter and protrude from the steering knuckle long enough to install the hub nut.
Install the intermediate support flange.
Torque tighten the bolts of the flange of the intermediate support of the drive shaft of the wheel (21 Nm).
Install the shock absorber to steering knuckle bolts.
Torque tighten the bolts securing the shock absorber to the steering knuckle (105 Nm).
Tighten the hub nut.
Torque tighten the hub nut (280 Nm) using the device.
Install the ball joint pin of the tie rod end.
Torque tighten the tie rod end ball joint pin nut (37 Nm).
Fasten:
- right front wheel speed sensor wiring,
- brake hose front right wheel.
Install:
- engine undertray protection,
- right front wheel.
Fill the oil in the manual transmission and bring it up to the correct level.
