Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Install the pedal hold down device on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid leaking.

Remove the top engine cover (if there is one).

Remove the top engine cover (if there is one).


Remove the noise protection mounting holders (1) (if there is one).

Move aside the sound-absorbing material to gain access to the pipes.

Move aside the sound-absorbing material to gain access to the pipes.


Unscrew the fittings (2) of the brake pipes on the hydraulic unit.

Unscrew the fittings (2) of the brake pipes on the hydraulic unit.


Remove the two holders (3) of the front panel noise insulation.



Bend back the noise protection to access the pipe fittings under the body.

Disconnect the brake pipes from the mounting bracket (4).

Disconnect the brake pipes from the mounting bracket (4).


Unscrew the fittings (5) of the pipelines on the hydraulic unit.

Remove the brake lines installed between the hydraulic unit and the fittings under the body bottom.

Installation



Install the brake lines between the hydraulic unit and the fittings under the body bottom.

Wrap it up:
  • brake line fittings from the hydraulic unit,
  • brake line mounting fittings under the body.

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • nipples for fastening brake pipes to the hydraulic unit (14 Nm),
  • brake line fastening fittings under the body (14 Nm).

Install sound-absorbing material on the front shield.

Install:
  • noise protection mounting holders (if there is one).
  • top engine cover (if there is one).

Remove the locking device for holding the pedal down.

Bleed the brake system.
