Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Set the wheels to the straight ahead position.
Remove the front wheel.
Mark the position of the cap (1) on the shock absorber strut using a permanent pencil.
Remove the cap (1) from the shock absorber strut.

Remove the brake pads.
Remove the brake shoe guide assembly with the front brake caliper (2).
Hang the assembly (2) shoe guide - brake mechanism bracket on the suspension spring.

Remove:
- brake disc mounting bolt or bolts (3),
- brake disc.

Installation
Clean the brake discs using a pressure cleaning machine.
Dry the surfaces of the discs.
Clean the disc surfaces on the hub using a wire brush and brake cleaner.
Parts that must be replaced: front brake disc mounting screw.
Install the brake discs with new bolts.
Tighten the new disc mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Install the brake shoe guide assembly with the front brake caliper.
Install the brake pads.
Set the wheels to the straight ahead position.
Install the cap onto the shock absorber strut, aligning the marks made with a permanent pencil.
Install the front wheel.
Examination
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the wheel.
Install the micrometer (1) to measure the thickness of the brake disc.

Measure the brake disc thickness in the order shown at 4 points around the circumference (in 90 sec).

Compare the obtained values with the manufacturer's data.
Replace brake discs if necessary.
Install the wheel.
