Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Set the wheels to straight ahead.
Remove the front wheel.
Mark the position of the cap (1) on the shock absorber strut using an indelible pencil.
Remove the cap (1) from the shock absorber.
Remove the brake pads.
Remove the shoe guide assembly with the front brake caliper (2).
Hang knot (2) shoe guide - brake caliper on suspension spring.
Remove:
- mounting bolt or bolts (3) brake disc,
- brake disk.
Installation
Clean the brake discs with a pressure cleaner.
Dry the disc surfaces.
Clean the disc surfaces on the hub using a wire brush and brake cleaner.
Parts that must be replaced: front brake disc mounting screw.
Install the brake discs with new bolts.
Torque tighten new disc mounting bolts.
Install the shoe guide assembly with the front brake caliper.
Install the brake pads.
Set the wheels to straight ahead.
Install the cap on the shock absorber strut, aligning the marks made with an indelible pencil.
Install the front wheel.
Examination
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove the wheel.
Install micrometer (1) for measuring the thickness of the brake disc.
Measure the thickness of the brake disc at 4 points around the circumference in the order shown (after 90 s).
Compare the obtained values with the manufacturer's data.
Replace brake discs if necessary.
Install the wheel.
