Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Set the wheels to straight ahead.
Install the pedal hold down tool
on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid escaping.
Remove the front wheel.
Loosen the union nut (1) on the rigid pipe fitting.
Remove the holder plug (2) brake hose.
To avoid premature friction damage to the brake hose, the following hose clamp removal procedure must be followed:
Set the wheels to straight ahead.
Mark the position of the cap on the shock absorber base with an indelible pencil.
Remove the brake hose plug (3) from the shock absorber.
Loosen the brake hose fitting on the brake caliper.
Remove the brake hose.
Installation
Set the wheels to straight ahead.
Install the brake hose on the bracket.
Torque tighten the brake hose.
Fix the brake hose plug to the shock absorber base by aligning the marks made with an indelible pencil.
Install:
- brake hose on rigid pipe fitting,
- brake hose holder.
Torque tighten the brake hose fitting on the rigid pipe fitting.
Install the front wheel.
Remove the pedal retainer from the brake pedal
Remove air from the brake system.
