Attention. Take measures to collect the brake fluid to prevent damage to mechanical parts and body parts located near the elements of the brake system.
Install a pressurizer on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid escaping.
Unscrew the brake hose from the pipe fitting (1).
Unscrew the brake hose from the caliper.
Set the wheels to drive in a straight line, as turning the wheels to one side will twist the hose.
Make sure the brake hose does not come into contact with surrounding parts.
Note. The brake hoses supplied in the repair kit are fitted with springs to prevent them from twisting during installation.
Install the brake hose to the brake caliper.
Torque tighten:
- brake hose on caliper (17 Nm);
- brake hose on the brake pipe union (14 Nm).
Attach the hose end to the bracket without twisting the hose. Check that the tip fits freely into the slotted hole in the bracket.
Install the spring.
Tighten the fitting for connecting the brake pipe to the brake hose, making sure that the hose does not twist when the fitting is tightened.
Remove air from the brake system.
Torque tighten the brake bleed valve (6.5 Nm).
