Release the parking brake. Remove the rear wheel.
Release the parking brake cable.
Mark the cable route for subsequent installation.
Loosen the guide pin mounting bolts.
Remove the caliper and hang it from the body.
Remove the brake pads.
Unscrew the two bolts securing the brake shoe guide.
Remove the brake shoe guide.
Check the condition of the brake system components (replace damaged parts).

Clean the brake pad guides and caliper.
Move the piston inside the cylinder using the tool (Fre. 1190-01) all the way.

Before installation, apply FRENBLOC to the threads of the brake caliper bracket mounting bolts and guide pins (or its equivalent).
Install the shoe guide. Install the shoe guide mounting bolts.
Install the parking brake cables.
Make sure the parking brake cable stopper is properly inserted into the socket.

Pull the parking brake actuator handle several times to activate the parking brake system and the automatic brake pad wear compensation device. Tighten the shoe guide mounting bolts to the specified torque of 105 Nm.
Install new brake pads, starting with the inner pad.
Install the caliper and guide pin mounting bolts.
Check the brake fluid level.
Tighten the guide pin mounting bolts to the specified torque of 36 Nm.
Install the wheels.
Note: Press the brake pedal several times to set the pistons to the working position.
