Disconnect the brake light switch.
Remove the lower instrument panel trim.
Remove:
- brake pedal buffer mounting bolt (1);
- brake pedal buffer (2).

Remove the rubber bushing (3) from the double stop connecting axle.
Remove the connecting axle with double stop (4).
Remove:
- brake pedal mounting nuts (5);
- brake pedal.
Replace the brake pedal nuts and the connecting shaft between the brake pedal and the brake booster rod.

Install the brake pedal.

Tighten the brake pedal mounting nuts to the specified torque of 21 Nm in the specified order (6), (7), (8), (9) and (10).
Note: Follow the tightening order (otherwise there is a risk of incorrect adjustment of the brake light switch).
Install a new double-stop connecting shaft between the brake booster pushrod and the brake pedal (11).

Turn the double-stop connecting shaft from bottom to top to secure it to the brake booster pushrod (12).

Caution: To prevent the brake booster plunger from separating from the brake pedal, check the fit of the double-stop axle on the brake booster plunger by pushing it upwards from the bottom.
Install the brake pedal buffer.
Tighten the brake pedal buffer bolt to the specified torque of 21 Nm.
Install the brake light switch.
