1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on axle stands. Remove the rear wheels.

2. You can quickly check the thickness of the brake pad lining through the opening in the caliper. If the brake lining is worn to the thickness specified in the Specifications or less, replace all four pads as a matched set.

3. For a more thorough inspection, the brake pads must be removed and cleaned. Check the functioning of the caliper and brake disc at the same time. See Section 9.
