Every 58,000 km — Check seat belts (Renault Clio 1)

1. Carefully inspect the belt fabric for cuts, severe abrasions or dirt. If the seat belt has a self-retractor, pull it out completely and inspect the fabric along its entire length.

2. Seat belts are designed to lock during sudden braking or a collision, and move freely during normal vehicle movement. Also check that the locking mechanism works properly when releasing the belt.
