The fuse box is installed both in the engine compartment and in the passenger compartment on the driver's side. The number of fuses depends on the level of equipment of the car.

Automobiles use pin-type fuses, which have different color markings depending on the current strength they carry.

The main fuses are located under the cover on the instrument panel on the driver's side (Figure 8.15). Additional fuses and relays are located in the box under the hood behind the battery on the left side of the engine compartment.



To access the main and additional fuses, open the cover of the corresponding block. Purpose of fuses (protected circuits) and the rated current are indicated on the inside of the cover.

The circuits protected by fuses located in the vehicle interior are listed in Table 8.3.
