Removing
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the steering wheel, see section "Steering".
Attention! On models with airbags, refer to the instructions for handling the airbag unit.
3. Remove:
- Steering column covers;
- Rack pads "A";
- Top pad (1) front panel;
- Instrumentation block;
- The combined switch on a steering column;
- center console;
- Heater control panel (3);
- Radio;
- Passenger Airbag Unit (if installed);
- steering column.
4. Turn away seven bolts of fastening of the main overlay of the forward panel.
5. Remove the bolt (A) heater.
6. Remove the front panel trim.
7. Remove the bolt (IN) heater, pull the heater out of the frame.
In the engine compartment:
8. Pinch the heater hoses and disconnect them from the heater.

9. Use compressed air to blow out any remaining coolant from the heater core.
10. Using the Ele puller. 1294-01 Remove the wiper arms.
11. Remove the ventilation duct seal and air intake grille.
12. Remove the heater fan.
13. Turn away bolts (1) heater mountings.
In the cabin:
14. Remove the heater.
15. To replace the heater core, unfasten the four clips (E), remove the radiator.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Check the correct laying of cables and fastening of air ducts (preventing outside noise).
Attention! Before connecting the airbag module, check the passive safety system:
- Turn the ignition on and check that the SRS indicator light is on.
- Connect the pillow connector: the indicator should turn off.
- Turn off the ignition, install the airbag module in place. Tighten the mounting bolts to 5 Nm.
- Turn the ignition on: the indicator should come on and go out after about three seconds.
- If there are deviations from the description of the indicator, conduct a troubleshooting in the passive safety system. Failure to check the system may result in an accident.
