The cylinder head is aluminum with two camshafts and 16 valves. The camshafts rotate in six plain bearings. The cylinder head cover is used as the upper bearing caps. The camshafts are driven from the crankshaft sprocket by a rubber belt, which also drives the water pump. The camshafts act on the valves through hydraulic pushers through roller rocker arms located under the camshafts in the cylinder head.
