Comply with the towing regulations of the country in which the vehicle is operated.
Never use the drive shafts of the wheels to attach the tow rope hook.
The towing eyes may only be used to tow the vehicle on the road. Never attach a rope to the eyes to pull the vehicle out of a ditch or in other similar cases to lift the vehicle directly or with the help of any devices.
The ignition key must be in the "ignition on" position to avoid locking the steering wheel.
Move the gearshift lever to neutral and release the parking brake.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, set the selector lever to the "N" position. Note that the towing distance for such vehicles should not exceed 50 km at a speed of no more than 40 km/h.
If the towed vehicle does not have a running engine, the brake booster will not work and will require more force to be applied to the brake pedal to achieve effective braking.
The towing eye is located in the tool kit in the spare tire.

The threaded hole for the towing eye at the front (Fig. 2.21) of the vehicle is located in the bumper cutout under the left headlight. To install the towing eye at the rear (Fig. 2.22) of the vehicle, remove the plastic plug in the bumper and screw it into the threaded hole. Using a suitable lever (wheel wrench, etc.) tighten the eye.

When towing, calculate the vehicle speed so that the towing rope is taut to avoid dangerous entanglement with the wheel.
