Removal and installation a car radio (Renault Symbol 1)

Car radios installed in cars have standard DIN connectors. Special grips are used to remove the car radio.

Removal procedure:

• disconnect the negative cable from the battery;

• insert the grips into the holes on the side of the car radio until they snap into place (Fig. 8.63);
• pull the car radio out of the instrument panel using the installed grips;
• disconnect the contact connectors and antenna cable from the back of the car radio.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
