Vehicle Identification Number (chassis number)
All cars are provided with identification data from the manufacturer, located in various parts of the body. The car's engine is also provided with an identification number, usually stamped on the body.

The chassis number is stamped on the body, in the passenger door opening.

The marking is located at the front, near the left pillar on the driver's side (Fig. 1.3). It contains the same information as the identification plate (Fig. 1.4).

The engine identification data is stamped on the cylinder block (see fig. 1.5, 1.6, 1.7).
