Removing
Remove the gearbox.
Install retainer (Mot. 582-01).
Turn away bolts of fastening of a casing of coupling.
Remove the clutch disc.
Use a vacuum cleaner or a clean cloth to remove dust from the clutch cover. Do not use compressed air as asbestos-containing dust inhalation is harmful to health.
Check the condition of the friction surface of the flywheel for cracks, burn marks and surface wear.
Check the condition of the friction linings of the clutch driven disk and if they have traces of oil or mechanical damage, replace the driven disk.
Installation
Attention! If there is an automatic clearance selection system, compress the petals of the clutch housing pressure spring using the tool (Emb. 1604).
Install fixture base (Emb. 1604) in a vice.
Install the clutch cover on the base, then the clutch release bearing and nut.
Tighten the nut all the way.
Install the lock wheel pliers in the location shown by the arrow in the figure.
Compress the spring.
Fully loosen the nut (with compressed springs).
Remove the compression force from the clutch cover.
Remove the clutch cover from the base, while making sure that the springs are compressed.
Attention! Clean the transmission input shaft splines and install the assembly without any grease. Degrease the surface of the flywheel under the clutch disc.
Install the clutch disc. The side of the hub with the smaller diameter should face the flywheel as shown.
To center the clutch disc, use the plastic mandrel supplied with the clutch repair kit (Emb. 1518).
Install the clutch cover to the flywheel.
Tighten the clutch cover bolts alternately in several steps (12 Nm).
