Conditions for conducting diagnostics
If, when the ignition is switched on and while driving, the air temperature measured by the temperature sensor is not between -7.5°C and 119°C, or if the coolant temperature measured by the temperature sensor is not between -7.5°C and 119°C, or if the difference between 1046 mbar and the pressure in the intake manifold exceeds 273 mbar (altitude about 2500 m above sea level). then in this case, troubleshooting by the on-board diagnostics system is not permitted until the next ignition switch-on.
For the OBD system to function properly, there must be no electrical faults in the injection system, even if the OBD warning light does not come on.
Oxygen sensor and catalytic converter diagnostics cannot be performed at the same time.
When diagnosing the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor, the purge of the absorber is stopped and the adaptive parameters are fixed at their last values.
Test procedure
Troubleshoot all electrical faults.
Erase all fault information from memory.
Perform programming of all injection system settings.
Check the "on-board diagnostics system".
Full initialization of the on-board diagnostics system
Clearing faults from memory.
Clearing faults detected by the on-board diagnostics system from memory.
Clearing programmed values.
Programming required for troubleshooting with the on-board diagnostics system
Programming torque and fuel delivery (status: "Cylinder 1 recognition"):
Programming is carried out as follows:
- deceleration with fuel cut-off in 2nd gear at engine speed 2000-2400 min⁻¹ for at least 3 s;
- repeated deceleration with fuel cut-off in 2nd gear at engine speeds of 3000-3500 min⁻¹ for the F4P engine and 2000-2400 min⁻¹ for the K4M engine for at least 2 s.
Programming adaptive correction of the working mixture composition
To perform this programming, you must drive within the pressure ranges specified in the chapter "Adaptive fuel mixture correction".
Programming the engine crankshaft speed sensor toothed signal disk
To perform this programming, it is necessary to drive the vehicle for 25 minutes. The programming is confirmed by the display of the message on the diagnostic tool screen: "Programming of the toothed signal disk. ACTIVATED".
