Electrical faults
The signal lamp lights up with a constant light after detecting a malfunction of the same device several times in a row.
Number of mixture misfires damaging the catalytic converter
The signal lamp immediately lights up with a flashing light.
Malfunction of the catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, misfiring of the mixture, leading to an increase in the toxicity of exhaust gases
The signal lamp lights up after a malfunction is detected three times in a row.
Attention! Catalytic converter and upstream oxygen sensor diagnostics are performed sequentially.
Diagnostics is performed:
- once per trip (each test lasts a few seconds);
- only under certain driving conditions.
It is possible that during the trip some functions will not be diagnosed (for example, when you hit a traffic jam).
Illumination of signal lamp
The on-board diagnostic system detects the same fault during three consecutive trips or when an electrical fault is detected.
Flashing signal lamp
When detecting misfires of the mixture, leading to the destruction of the catalytic converter.
Signal lamp goes out
If the fault detected by the on-board diagnostics does not reappear within three consecutive trips, the warning light goes out (but information about the malfunction remains in the memory of the injection computer).
To erase information about malfunctions from the memory of the computer, without using a diagnostic tool, the malfunction must not be fixed for 40 consecutive tests.
Note. If the fault does not reappear, this may be due to:
- random nature of the malfunction;
- driving habits of a client who does not always drive like this. that the conditions necessary for fault detection are met.
