The electric fan of the engine cooling system is controlled by the injection system ECU.
Overheat prevention function
The overheat prevention system is controlled by the injection system ECU. Information about the coolant temperature comes from the injection system.
When the card is installed in the reader in the 2nd fixed position, the system switches to the monitoring mode. If the coolant temperature exceeds the threshold of 102°C 8 within 10 minutes after the engine is stopped, the electric fan of the cooling system switches on at low speed.
If the coolant temperature drops below 95°C, the electric fan relay of the engine cooling system switches off. The electric fan operating time cannot exceed 10 minutes.
Operation of the electric fan of the engine cooling system
The electric fan turns on at low speed if the coolant temperature exceeds 99°C and turns off when the temperature drops below 96°C.
The electric fan turns on at high speed if the coolant temperature exceeds 102°C and turns off when the temperature drops below 99°C.
Operation of the coolant temperature warning light
The coolant temperature warning light comes on when the coolant temperature exceeds 118°C and goes out; when the temperature drops below 115°C.
