244 - Coolant temperature sensor of the injection system and coolant temperature gauge in the instrument panel; 3-pin sensor, two pins are used to signal the coolant temperature to the injection computer, and one pin is used for the coolant temperature gauge on the instrument panel;
259 - The temperature sensor for turning on the warning light for overheating the coolant on the instrument panel.
Sensor 244 provides:
- indication of the temperature of the coolant in the instrument panel;
- output of information about the temperature of the engine coolant to the injection computer.
Depending on the coolant temperature, the injection computer issues control commands:
- injection system;
- group of electric fans.
Electric fan turns on at high speed (the modes of low and high fan speed are controlled by the air conditioner computer), if the temperature exceeds 99°C, and turns off if the temperature drops below 96°C (if you need to check, turn off the air conditioner).
