Removing
1. The operation is performed after removing the suspension arms and torsion bars.
2. Completely immerse the silent block in brake fluid to soften the rubber of the silent block.
3. Using a three-jaw puller, remove the beam support bracket from the silent block, tearing it off the rubber bushing of the silent block.
4. Saw through the inner clip of the silent block with a hacksaw, avoiding touching the supporting surface on the beam bar.
Installation
1. The silent block is installed in the beam support bracket using a press, while ensuring the required alignment with the bracket hole and the gap between the silent block and the wall of the bracket.
2. Observe the vertical position of the torsion bar axis - dimension X = 156±3.5 mm between the support surface of the bracket and the axle of the wheel hub trunnion.
3. In this position, press the silent block onto the hub pin so that the distance between the centers of the mounting holes of the brackets is Y = 1164±1 mm.
4. Install the torsion bar on the car.
Removing
1. The operation is performed after removing the rear axle and torsion bars.
2. Weld a plate, for example, a nut, to the inner race of the silent block by welding.
3. Using a press, remove the silent block from the axle beam together with the axle beam support bracket
Installation
1. When installing the silent block in the bracket, ensure the required location of the torsion bar axis vertically and the distance to the opposite silent block and the bracket.
2. Observe the vertical position of the torsion bar axis - dimension X = 156±3.5 mm between the support surface of the bracket and the axis of the wheel hub trunnion (pic. 6.43).
3. In this position, press the silent block onto the hub pin so that the distance between the centers of the mounting holes of the brackets is Y = 1164±1 mm (pic. 6.44).
4. Establish a beam of the back bridge and torsion bars on the car.
