1. Remove the air filter.
2. Either drain the coolant below the carburetor level, or disconnect and clamp the cooling system hoses.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the bottom of the carburetor and from the device that doses additional fuel at startup. Make sure that coolant does not leak from the pinched hoses. If so, tighten the clamps.
4. Disconnect the vacuum, fuel and vent hoses from the carburetor.
5. Disconnect the ball joint from the throttle actuator lever.
6. Using a bent wrench, loosen the nut at the bottom of the carburetor.
7. Immediately cover the intake manifold opening with a clean cloth to prevent foreign bodies from entering the engine. Install the carburetor in the reverse order. When installing, replace the carburetor flange sealing gasket and washers under the nuts. After installation, adjust the idle speed and CO.
