1. Remove the air filter.
2. Either drain the coolant below the level of the carburetor, or disconnect and clamp the cooling system hoses with clamps.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the bottom surface of the carburetor and from the device that dispenses additional fuel at start-up. Make sure no coolant leaks from kinked hoses. Otherwise, tighten the clamps.
4. Disconnect the vacuum, fuel and ventilation hoses from the carburetor.
5. Disconnect the ball joint from the throttle actuator lever.
6. Using a bent wrench, unscrew the nut at the bottom of the carburetor.
7. Immediately cover the intake manifold opening with a clean cloth to prevent foreign bodies from entering the engine. Install the carburetor in reverse order. When installing, replace the carburetor flange gasket and washers under the nuts. After installation, adjust idle and CO.
