1. Wash the bottom thoroughly.
2. Illuminate the bottom with a bright lamp and see if there are any damaged areas.
3. Clean the damaged areas with a spatula or wire brush down to the metal.
4. Clean the metal from traces of rust.
5. Treat the cleaned areas with an anti-rust agent.
6. Treat flat surfaces with a brush.
7. Use a spray bottle to treat hard-to-reach areas.
