Tightening torque: New steering wheel mounting bolt - 44 Nm.
Removal
Perform the security system shutdown procedure.
Caution! Incorrect installation of the wheels in relation to the steering wheel may result in destruction of the contact disk.
Remove the driver's front airbag.
Set the wheels to the straight ahead position.
Disconnect the connectors.
Loosen the steering wheel mounting bolt (1).

Caution: To ensure reliable operation of these electronic systems, do not damage the connector locking devices.
Remove the steering wheel.
Caution! To avoid damaging the contact disk, do not rotate the moving part of the contact disk.
Installation
Parts that must be replaced: steering wheel mounting bolt.

Caution: To avoid damage to the steering column and steering wheel, align the steering column and steering wheel alignment elements.

Install the steering wheel.
Connect the connectors.
Install a new steering wheel mounting bolt.
Tighten the new steering wheel mounting bolt to the specified torque (44 Nm).
Install the driver's front airbag.
Turn on the ignition.
Check the operation of the contact disk:
- turn the steering wheel to the extreme left position,
- turn the steering wheel to the extreme right position,
- make sure that there is no malfunction message displayed on the instrument panel.
