Nuts of fastening of the vacuum amplifier of brakes | 21 Nm |
Fittings of rigid brake pipelines on the main brake cylinder | 14 Nm |
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove the engine top cover (if she is).
Disconnect the battery.
Loosen the fastening nuts (1) expansion tank.
Take aside the expansion tank without draining the liquid from it.
Models without ABS
Remove the hard brake pipe fittings at the point (2) and mark their position.
All models
Disconnect connector (3) brake fluid level sensor.
Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
Remove the brake fluid from the reservoir with a syringe.
Place a container under the brake master cylinder to collect brake fluid.
Disconnect the clutch master cylinder supply line.
Remove:
- hydraulic brake reservoir
- rigid brake line fittings (4) from the master cylinder and mark their position,
- nuts of fastening of the main brake cylinder to the vacuum amplifier of brakes (5),
- master brake cylinder.
Install the plugs on the master cylinder bores and on the brake lines.
Installation
Parts that must be replaced:
- Laying of a main brake cylinder from a tank of a hydraulic drive of brakes (9),
- Laying of the main brake cylinder from the side of the vacuum amplifier of brakes (8).
Note:
- In case of hydraulic fluid leakage from the brake master cylinder to the inside of the brake booster, be sure to replace the brake master cylinder/brake booster assembly.
- A vacuum brake booster with a rubber diaphragm that has been exposed to brake fluid becomes unusable.
Remove plugs.
Align the master cylinder with the brake booster so that the booster tappet fits into the slot in the master cylinder housing.
Torque tighten the brake booster mounting nuts (21 Nm).
Screw unions of rigid brake pipelines.
Torque tighten the rigid brake line fittings on the brake master cylinder (14 Nm).
Properly attach the brake fluid reservoir to the brake master cylinder at the point (9).
Connect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
Install the expansion tank.
Connect the battery.
Install the engine top cover (if she is).
Run:
- refilling the brake fluid reservoir,
- removal of air from the hydraulic drive of the brakes,
- removal of air from the hydraulic clutch.
