Tightening torques: Vacuum pump mounting bolts - 21 Nm.
Removal
Remove:
- top engine cover,
- air intake pipe.
Tilt the air filter housing slightly to gain access to the vacuum pump.
Models with K9K engine version 796
Disconnect the boost pressure limiting solenoid valve hose (1) from the vacuum pump.
All models
Disconnect the check valve (2) from the vacuum pump.
Remove:
- bolts (3) securing the vacuum pump to the cylinder head,
- vacuum pump.
Installation
Clean the vacuum pump mating surface on the cylinder head.
Parts that must be replaced: brake booster vacuum pump gasket.
Install:
- vacuum pump with new gasket,
- vacuum pump mounting bolts.
Tighten the vacuum pump mounting bolts to the cylinder head to the specified torque (21 Nm).
Attach the check valve to the vacuum pump.
Models with K9K engine version 796
Connect the boost pressure limiting solenoid valve hose to the vacuum pump.
All models
Install:
- air filter housing,
- air intake duct,
- top engine cover.
