The Renault Symbol front-wheel drive sedan, based on the Renault Clio hatchback, is equipped with an 8- or 16-valve gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. The main advantages are increased reliability, ease of operation, safety and original design, the most spacious trunk for cars of this class. The car was developed specifically for operation in Russian conditions.
The minimum equipment includes: an airbag for the driver, seat belts with a tension limiter in the front seats and standard seat belts in the rear, power steering, electronic anti-theft system, body-colored bumpers. The more expensive version is equipped with air conditioning, power front doors, a radio with two speakers and a remote control on the steering column. The optional safety kit includes ABS and an airbag for the front passenger. Xenon headlights, rain sensor, climate control, cruise control are provided for high-class cars.
The car has been adapted to Russian operating conditions. Galvanic treatment of the body, special sealing and anti-gravel mastic provide anti-corrosion protection of the car. Increased ground clearance, reinforced shock absorbers, metal protection of the engine oil pan and fuel and brake lines located under the bottom help to overcome difficult road conditions.
