Safety steering type. It consists of a gear-rack steering mechanism and a shock-absorbing steering column. The column is connected to the steering mechanism by means of an intermediate shaft with cardan joints. The lower universal joint is attached to the steering shaft with an eccentric bolt.
The steering mechanism is mounted on a subframe and connected to the steering knuckles of the front wheels by steering rods with threaded ends, which makes it possible to adjust the toe angles of the front wheels.
The steering mechanism is equipped with a hydraulic or electric booster that reduces the driver's effort on the steering wheel.
