Fuel filter (Renault Espace I)

The fuel filter should be changed every 50,000 km. On earlier models, the filter is mounted next to the fuel pump on the right-hand side rail in front of the fuel tank, as shown in illustrations 9.2. On later models it is mounted on the left side rail, at the height of the front seat, as shown in Illustration 11.1. The filter on V6 models is mounted next to the fuel pump (see illustration 11.1 on the left). The filter is secured with a clamp.



To replace the filter, the car must be placed on axle stands. Clamp the hoses connected to the filter with special clamps before disconnecting them. First, remove the hoses from the connections and only then remove the clamps. The clamps must remain.

Loosen the clamp nut and remove the filter. Install in the reverse order. Install the filter as indicated by the arrow. Connect the rods, put on the clamps and remove the clamps.
