- remove the air filter in the engine compartment;
- remove the clutch cable as described above;

- unscrew the pedal axle nut (Fig. 4.13);
- unscrew the pedal stiffener bolts and remove it;
- slide the pedal together with the sleeve off the axle;
- after removing the pedal, unhook and remove the spring of the adjustment mechanism. Remember the location of all the parts of the mechanism so that you can assemble them correctly later;
- remove the bushings, take out the sector unit. Replace damaged parts.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, and do the following:
- install the cable end into place in the toothed sector of the adjustment mechanism;
- in the engine compartment, attach the cable to the clutch release fork;
- to set the adjustment mechanism to the working position, press the clutch pedal several times.
