Speedometer
The device shows the speed of the car.
Pic. 1.31. Speedometer
Audible overspeed alarm
In some vehicle configurations, when the speed is exceeded 120 km / h, every 40 km / h an audible signal is emitted with a duration of approximately 10 s.
Tachometer
The tachometer shows the engine speed (rpm).
Attention! If the tachometer needle approaches the red zone of the scale, turn on a higher gear. Exceeding the permissible frequency of rotation of the crankshaft (when the tachometer needle is in the red zone) may cause engine failure.

Fuel gauge in the tank
The device works with the ignition on and shows the approximate level of fuel in the tank.
The pointer needle may fluctuate slightly during braking, cornering, vehicle acceleration, and when driving uphill and downhill.
When the ignition is off, the pointer arrow is set to the mark of the minimum fuel reserve.
The low fuel indicator comes on when there is a small amount of fuel left in the tank.
Attention! Fill the tank as soon as possible without waiting for the pointer to drop to the lower mark on the scale. The lower position of the arrow corresponds to the reserve fuel in the tank.
Control lamp of the minimum fuel level in the tank
Goes out a few seconds after starting the engine. If the control lamp lights up and does not go out, it is urgent to fill the tank with fuel.
Control lamp of malfunction of antiblocking system
Lights up when starting the engine, then goes out.
If the lamp lights up while the car is moving, this indicates a malfunction of the anti-lock braking system. In this case, braking will occur as on a car not equipped with anti-lock braking system.
Airbag warning lamp
Lights up when starting the engine and goes out after a few seconds. If the control lamp does not light up when the ignition is switched on, or if it comes on with the engine running, this indicates a malfunction in the airbag system.
Control lamp of system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases
On vehicles equipped with this system, the control lamp lights up when the engine is started, after which it goes out.
If the lamp burns constantly, immediately consult a Renault service station.
If the lamp flashes, reduce the engine speed until the flashing stops.
Zero button
Display the relevant information on the display and press the button to reset the trip meter, on-board computer parameters, mileage until the next oil change, and also in order to find out the current oil level.
Coolant temperature gauge
Under normal operating conditions, the pointer needle should not reach the red zone. In difficult operating conditions, the arrow may move into this zone. An alarm should only be caused by the inclusion of the warning lamp simultaneously with the appearance of a message on the instrument panel and an audible signal.
Control lamp of a charge of the rechargeable battery
The control lamp lights up when the engine is started, after which it goes out. If it lights up while driving simultaneously with the control lamp and an audible signal sounds, this indicates an increased or decreased charge current. Stop and check the battery charging circuit.
Driver's seat belt warning lamp
The lamp lights up and stays on after starting the engine, then, when the speed reaches about 10 km/h, if the driver's seat belt is not fastened, the lamp flashes for about 90 si, an audible signal sounds.
Control lamp of inclusion of a lay brake and malfunction of brake system
If the lamp lights up when braking simultaneously with the warning lamp and an audible signal sounds, this indicates a low level of brake fluid or a malfunction in the brake system.
Engine oil low pressure warning light
Lights up when starting the engine and goes out after a few seconds. If this lamp lights up while driving at the same time as the warning lamp and an audible signal sounds, stop immediately and turn off the ignition. Check the oil level.
Passenger airbag off («OFF»)
This warning light comes on for a few seconds after starting the engine if the front passenger airbags (depending on vehicle configuration) disabled.
Engine oil level
The readings are correct if the car is on level ground and its engine has not been running for a long time.
Within approximately 30 seconds after starting the engine:
- If the level is normal, the display will show «Oil level OK».
- at minimum oil level message «Oil level OK» does not appear on the display, dashes and a message appear «Add oil», and the maintenance required indicator lamp lights up.
Top up the oil as soon as possible to the correct level.
On-board computer
After 30 seconds, the display changes according to the mode of operation of the on-board computer.
Body opening warning light or multifunction display (depending on vehicle configuration)
The control lamp of the opening elements of a body. Turning on the lamp indicates that one of the side doors or the tailgate is open or not closed tightly.
Multifunctional information display. Indicates that the opening element of the body (side door or tailgate) open or loose, as well as tire pressures and gear number (for vehicles with automatic transmission).
Emergency stop warning lamp
This warning lamp should go out after starting the engine. It turns on simultaneously with other warning lamps and / or with the appearance of a message on the instrument panel display and an audible signal.
When this warning lamp comes on, stop immediately (according to traffic conditions).
Maintenance indicator lamp
Lights up when starting the engine and goes out after a few seconds. It can turn on simultaneously with other warning lamps or with messages displayed on the instrument panel display.
If it lights up while driving, we recommend contacting the nearest Renault service station.
