Special tool required
- Rou. 15-01 Drive shaft protective tip.
- Rou. 604-01 Hub lock. T.Av 476 Ball joint puller.
- T.Av 1050-02. Hub puller.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Drive shaft nut 280.
- Wheel mounting bolts 90.
- Fastening nut for lower support of telescopic stand 180.
- Floating bracket mounting bolt 100.
- Steering joint fastening nut 37.
- Nut of the clamping bolt of the ball joint pin with the steering knuckle 55.
Removal
1. Disconnect the wires from the battery.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the brake caliper and attach it to the spring so as not to damage the brake pipe.
4. Remove the steering joint using the T.Av 476 puller.
5. Unscrew the drive shaft nut.
6. Push the drive shaft into the hub using the T.Av 1050-02 puller.
7. Remove the brake disc.
8. Unscrew the nut and the tightening bolt of the ball joint pin terminal connection.
9. Unscrew the two bolts securing the lower support of the telescopic strut.
10. Remove the steering knuckle assembly with the hub and bearing.
11. Remove the hub using a press.
12. Remove the lower thrust washer from the hub using a jaw puller and Rou. 15-01 protective tip.

13. Remove the retaining ring from the steering knuckle.
14. Using a press, remove the remaining part of the bearing so that the load falls on the inner ring. Use a section of pipe of the same diameter for this.

Installation
1. Install the bearing into the hub using a press, using a piece of pipe with an outside diameter of 70 mm and an inside diameter of 66 mm, applying load to the outer ring of the bearing.
Caution! Do not apply load to the inner ring to avoid damaging the bearing, as the force required to press in the bearing is quite significant.

2. Install a new retaining ring.
3. Lubricate both bearing sealing lips with general purpose grease.
4. Install the bearing into the hub using a press, using a piece of pipe with an outside diameter of 48 mm and an inner diameter of 42 mm and applying load to the inner ring of the bearing.

5. Install the steering knuckle assembly with the hub and bearing onto the vehicle.
