Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.
Unscrew the nut (9) securing the positive terminal of the generator.
Disconnect the wiring harness (10) from the generator.
Move the generator wiring harness to the side.
Remove:
- the generator bracket mounting nut (11) from the cylinder block;
- generator bracket mounting bolt (12);
- generator bracket.

Unscrew the upper generator mounting bolt (15).
Loosen, but do not remove, the generator mounting bolt (16).
Use a screwdriver to pry the generator away from the multi-function bracket.
Remove the generator.

Caution: Do not apply pressure to the air conditioning hose as this may cause refrigerant to leak.
Note: To facilitate removal of the generator, move the radiator assembly with the condenser forward slightly (take precautions to avoid damaging the condenser pipes).

Insert the bushings (1) using pliers or a vice to facilitate installation.

Caution: When replacing the alternator belt, be sure to replace the tensioner and idler pulleys.
Install the generator.
Tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque (25 Nm).
Tighten the positive terminal mounting nut of the generator to the required torque of 21 Nm.
Replace the accessory drive belt.
Tighten the accessory drive belt.
The installation of the remaining equipment is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
