Engage 1st gear.
Place the block behind the rear wheel. Release the automatic parking brake using the lever.
Perform the following operations using the "CLIP" diagnostic tool:
- connect the diagnostic tool;
- select "Automatic Parking Brake ECU";
- enter repair mode;
- display the "Operations to be performed before repair" of the selected ECU;
- perform the operations described in the section "Operations to be performed before repair".
Turn off the ignition.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the rear wheel arch trim.
Disconnect the connector (1) of the automatic parking brake control unit.
Mark the position of the block relative to the body.
Remove:
- fastening nuts (2);
- automatic parking brake control unit.
Note: The nuts securing the automatic parking brake control unit must be replaced.

If dropped, the automatic parking brake control unit must be replaced. Install the ECU, connect the connector and tighten the automatic parking brake control unit mounting nuts to the required torque of 2 Nm.
Perform the following operations using the diagnostic tool "CUP":
- connect the diagnostic tool;
- select "Automatic Parking Brake ECU";
- enter repair mode;
- display the "Operations to be performed after repair" of the selected ECU;
- perform the operations described in the section "Operations to be performed after repair".
