The clock (2) can be pulled out as easily as a switch from its socket in the instrument panel, in order to replace, for example, the lamp (3) for the backlight. It is fixed with a bayonet mount in the clock housing with a frame. Before installing the clock in the socket in the instrument panel, check that the contact connection is correct.



If the clock hands do not move, the cause of the malfunction is a fuse or wiring. A faulty clock cannot be repaired, it should simply be replaced.

Warning signal for lights not switched off

Depending on the modification of Renault 19, a "Ta-Tyu" signal sounds if you forgot to turn off the light and opened the door with the ignition key removed. Anyone who gets tired of this signal can disconnect the contact connection of the brown wire in the control unit.
