Installation
Be sure to replace the mounting bolt each time the steering wheel is removed.
Make sure the wheels are in the straight ahead position.
Make sure the contact disk tape is centered (2.5 turns each way).
Note: In the event of a replacement, the new part is shipped with the contact disc in a centered position, secured with an adhesive label that breaks when the steering wheel is turned for the first time (when installing the disc, the wheels must be set to the position for driving in a straight line).
Install the assembly on the steering column.
Connect the connectors.
Remove adhesive tape.
Note: Complete the installation and tighten the bolt only after both shroud halves have been installed, and the toggle switches must be installed without being skewed relative to the instrument panel and instrument panel. To facilitate access to the bolt, there is a slot in the lower casing.
