If the tread relief is worn to a level where the projections of the indicator 2 become visible, it is necessary to replace the tires, because. the tread depth has been reduced to 1.6 mm, resulting in poor grip on wet roads.
Overloading the vehicle, driving on motorways for a long time, especially in hot weather, or constantly driving on poorly paved roads cause rapid tire wear and reduce safety.
Tire inflation kit
The kit is intended for repairing tire tread A, the size of damage of which does not exceed 4 mm. It is unsuitable for repairing damage larger than 4 millimeters and cuts in the B sidewall of a tyre.
Note. Do not use the kit if the tire is damaged due to a puncture.
Before carrying out repairs, carefully inspect the side surfaces of the tires.
This repair method is a temporary measure.
While driving, due to the presence of a special agent in the tire, a slight vibration may be felt.
Do not use the kit to inflate another car's tires or any other inflatable items (inflatable ring, boat, etc.).
The shelf life of the product is indicated on the label on the bottle. Check if the product has expired.
To replace the tube for inflating the tire and the cylinder with the agent, contact a service station.
Attention. The kit must not be operated for more than 15 minutes continuously.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, in the event of a tire puncture, use the kit located under the luggage compartment mat: open the kit, remove plugs 1 and 3 (do not remove the bottle cap), then screw the bottle 2 onto its holder 3.
With the ignition on:
- plug 8 into the socket for additional equipment on the dashboard of the car;
- unscrew the valve cap of the corresponding wheel and screw the tip of the inflation hose 6 onto the valve;
- press switch 5 to inflate the tire to the prescribed pressure (see label affixed to the end of the driver's door);
- no later than 7 minutes, stop inflating the tire and check the air pressure in it (by pressure gauge 4);
- bring the pressure to the correct level: increase it by continuing to inflate the tire using the kit, or decrease it by pressing button 7 on the inflation tip.
Note.
- While the bottle is emptying (about 30 seconds), the pressure on pressure gauge 4 can briefly reach 6 bar, then the pressure drops.
- If the pressure has not reached the norm, tire repair is impossible, do not move and contact the service station.
Once normal tire pressure has been reached:
- stop working;
- close the stopper built into the cylinder;
- remove the plug from socket 8;
- affix the speed reminder sticker 10 in a prominent position on the dashboard;
- put the kit.
Start driving and after about 3 km or no more than 10 minutes of driving, stop and check the pressure with a tire inflation kit. If the pressure is above 1.3 bar, bring it up to normal.
Attention. After the repair made with the help of the kit, the mileage of the car must not exceed 200 km, and the speed of movement must not exceed 80 km/h.
