Removal
1. The transmission fluid cooler is mounted on top of the transmission. For better access, remove the battery and its bracket (see Section 5A).
2. Clamp the cooling system hoses on each side of the cooler with special clamps. Alternatively, completely drain the cooling system (see Section 1).
3. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses from the cooler.
4. Loosen the special mounting bolts and remove the transmission fluid cooler from the transmission. Be prepared for some fluid to leak out - place a clean rag around the cooler. Seal any open holes to prevent dirt from entering the system.
5. Remove the special bolts and inspect the O-rings for damage. Replace seals if necessary.
Installation
6. Install in reverse order. Check the transmission fluid level (see Section 1).
