Checking the level in case of a leak
Using a syringe, fill the gearbox with fluid up to the lower edge of the filler hole.
Install a new gasket on the drain plug, with the slot (1) facing the plug.
Drain and filler holes of the TL4 manual transmission:
1 - drain plug;
2 — filler plug.

Tighten the filler plug to the required torque of 24 Nm using a torque wrench with an 8 mm square drain plug socket.
Wipe off any oil spills with a rag. Remove the retainer from the oil collection container.
Install the engine oil pan guard.
