Note: The procedure for removing the driver's front airbag is provided in the section "Steering".
Disconnect the battery. Remove the instrument panel. Remove the mounting bolts (1) and the front passenger airbag.
Caution: After the front passenger airbag has deployed, the instrument panel must be replaced due to damage to its mounting parts. Attach a warning label to the passenger side instrument panel regarding the installation of a rear-facing child seat in the passenger seat.
Replace the front passenger airbag mounts to the instrument panel and to the instrument panel crossmember.
To install the front passenger airbag with new bolts on the instrument panel, use the installation sleeves (2). Tighten the front passenger airbag mounting bolts to the specified torque of 4 Nm.
After installing all components, connect and secure the passenger front airbag connectors (3).
Turn on the ignition.
Make sure that there is no malfunction message displayed on the instrument panel.
