Removal
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
2. Remove the inner door trim.
3. Ask an assistant to support the door, disconnect the gas springs by removing their mounting clamps and disconnecting the ball joints.
4. Partially remove the trim along the top edge of the rear door opening.
5. Remove the central light.
6. Remove the interior trim from the roof crossbar and side pillars (only for cars of the 1st stage of production). In cars of the first stage of production, the trim is glued, so it must be removed carefully and only as much as is necessary to access the hinges of the rear door. In all other cars, the trim is attached with buttons.

Installation
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The holes for the hinge mounting bolts are made in the form of an oblong groove so that the door can be centered in its opening. When performing this operation, it is recommended to wedge the door in the opening to make it easier to determine its correct position; use additional washers or wooden spacers for this purpose.
