2. Note the location of the old oil seal. Using a small screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the cylinder head.
3. Wipe the bearing surface in the cylinder head.
4. Apply a small amount of oil to the outer edge and sealing lip of the new oil seal. Drive the seal into the cylinder head using a metal tube, the outer diameter of which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the hole in the head (see illustration).
7.4 Install the new camshaft oil seal.
Make sure the seal is oriented correctly.
5. Install the camshaft sprocket as described in Chapter 6.
