To prevent drive adjustment failure, when performing work related to disconnecting its elements, mark the relative position of the parts in advance in any available way. When reassembling, install the drive elements in accordance with the marks applied.
If the drive adjustment is slightly disturbed and the transmission (although with difficulty) are included, if the performer has some skills, you can try to restore the adjustment by trial and error.

Loosen the tightening bolt of the clamp of the transmission control rod to the gearshift lever and by small movements of the rod along the lever achieve clear gear engagement. If the first and second gears are not clearly selected, slightly turn the rod counterclockwise relative to the lever (if you look at the drive from the engine side). If the selection of V and reverse gear is unclear, turn the rod clockwise. If they are clearly selected, but do not engage well (or don't turn on at all) I, III and V gears, move the rod along the lever forward in the direction of vehicle movement without turning it relative to the lever. If II, IV and reverse gears are not engaged clearly, move the rod back along the lever. After each movement of the rod along the lever, tighten the clamp bolt and check the adjustment result. If necessary, repeat the adjustment until the desired result is achieved.
