Disconnect the battery. Press out the safety latches (1) covers of the protection and switching unit.
Detach the cover of the Protection and Switching Unit.
Remove bracket (2) wiring harness of the protection and switching unit in the passenger compartment by bending the tabs of the bracket and lifting the bracket.
Disconnect the protection and switching unit at the point (4) from its body by pressing the latches (3).
Slide the wiring harness of the Protection and Switching Unit (5) in rubber rings.
Partially remove the protection and switching unit to disconnect its connectors.
Disconnect the connectors of the protection and switching unit, noting their position.
Remove the protection and switching unit.
Note. When installing, connect the connectors with the shortest wire harness first to avoid stressing the wire harness and displacing the connector.
Connect the wiring harness connectors in the interior of the protection and switching unit in accordance with the position marked during removal in the appropriate order (1), (2), (3), (4) And (5).
Connect the wiring harness connectors in the engine compartment of the protection and switching unit in accordance with the position marked when removing in the appropriate order (6), (7), (8) And (9).
connect connector (10) wiring harness in the interior of the protection and switching unit in accordance with the position noted during removal.
Install the rubber rings of the wiring harness of the protection and switching unit into the housing on the protection and switching unit.
Install the protection and switching unit in its housing.
Note. Make sure that all O-rings of the wire harness are seated in the slots of the Protection and Switching Unit and fit exactly and completely into the housing.
Fasten the bracket for the wire harness support in the interior of the protection and switching unit.
Install the cover of the Protection and Switching Unit into its housing.
Make sure the holders are properly locked in place.
Note. If the cover is properly secured in place, the latches should slide freely.
If the latch or latch slot is defective, the defective cover or block must be replaced. Lock the safety locks of the protection and switching unit by aligning the mark of the lock with the mark on the cover of the unit.
